The title says it all, really!

Naked Girls Reading is an international phenomenon: a scandalous, theatrical event, which has sold out shows from Chicago to Sydney – and it’s finally reached New Zealand shores!

It’s absurd, amusing, arousing and always entertaining. Naked Girls Reading sits somewhere between a sapphic slumber party and a voyeuristic book club. In celebration of it’s kiwi debut, these clever, unclad ladies have picked their favourite bits of iconic kiwi script to recite for you.

Expect excerpts of everything Aotearoa; pavlova recipes, Hairy MacLary, the legends of Maui, Foreskin’s Lament, Witi Ihimaera, Margaret Mahy, and maybe even some charming New Zealand erotica. We’ll be traversing the New Zealand literary landscape in an evening. It’s a night not to be missed.

Starring!
Hadassah Grace – poet, storyteller, and professional hot mess.
Lady Sane – burlesque goddess and Grand Tease Wellington champion 2016.
Anya Rzhevitskaya – rough-as-guts comedian, model, and writer.

The main event will be followed by cocktails, conversation, and music from band ‘Women Ruin Everything’ – so be sure to stick around, chat to the cast and perhaps do some reading of your own.

Tickets are $16 on Eventfinda, $20 on the door, and we have a limited number of VIP tickets, perfect for those of you who might want to draw the girls as they read.
